The inspiration for the clinic comes from Jok Saunders, a fellow fibro-fighter, whose life-time career as a nutritional therapist and holistic health practitioner spurred her on to specialize in self-management for fibromyalgia.  The clinic’s mission is to help other sufferers with a step by step approach with easy to understand information and education on topics related to fibromyalgia and treatment plans for symptoms such as:

Chronic pain / Allodynia / Hyperalgesia /Parathesia

Sensory overload and heightened sensitivity (visual/touch/smell/noise/pain)

We understand the value of SUPPORT and feeling confident that you can share concerns about your illness and how it affects your life. Receiving a diagnosis, learning to live with an invisible chronic condition is a life changing process, grieving, letting go and acceptance of the imposed limitations has a ripple effect throughout, not only our own lives, but also family, social and career.  Our very popular support groups are a great way to meet new friends and held in small confidential groups where you can discuss concerns and ask questions, a place to talk freely and feel validated.

Workshops

Our workshops are tailor-made and give you an educational and inspiring learning experience, where the emphasis is focused on the basics of the fibromyalgia mind-body connection and stress management.  Our Fibro Tool Kit   ~ a bespoke treatment plan addresses the emotional and psychological aspects of living with a chronic condition and includes a range of top tips and techniques to help you to customize your own self-care plan.

About Jok

With over twenty-five years of experience working in various organisations, NHS counsellor and private practice as a holistic health practitioner, Jok’s  training and qualifications offer a wealth of experience and skills to include Nutritional Therapy, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), EFT practitioner and Mindfulness teacher, specializing in stress management and relaxation techniques. Continuing her personal development and following her passion to help others, Jok qualified in Pain Management and has achieved Accreditation as a Training Provider.

In more recent years Jok’s life was turned upside down after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia and then cancer.  During her recovery, learning to pace and accepting the prospects of this diagnosis, Jok’s research and exploration of finding new ways to cope inspired her pursuit in finding a natural, holistic approach, specializing in fibromyalgia and brings an abundance of skills and experience to the clinic.
